Key Responsibilities
The Procurement Strategic Sourcing Manager is a strategic category leader of procurement sourcing function to influence significant change management across the Food Solutions, BUs and functions e.g. support development of productivity BP, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Source-to-Pay (S2P) Management, Operational support and Internal controls and compliance. Intention to lead and direct key category management across the BUs/ geographies in alignment and support of the business goals and objectives.
- Lead and drive the development of strategic sourcing function and manage a sourcing portfolio across raw material and non-raw material categories through the Collaborative Procurement Model (CPM), Category Management and 7-step sourcing process (7SSP).
- Responsible for sourcing and operational expertise in defined categories collaboratively aligning related BUs/functions at early stage in 7SSP project development process (Business Planning), analysis, sourcing, negotiating, contracting and managing suppliers to deliver maximum productivity benefits (Efficiency and Effectiveness)
- Responsible for ensuring monthly reporting through updated CPM Track at different levels, with strong governance through management of Evaluation/Tender Committee cadences, enabling correct sign off at senior level within the BU/function
- High level of maturity and senior leader/stakeholder communications skills required within SATS to manage/leverage Total System cost management
- Manage, directly or indirectly, a team of procurement resources to identify prioritized tactical procurement requirements
- Manage and develop subject matter expertise and strong compliance to 7SSP within food related procurement, with strong communication and collaboration with various BUs/functions.
- Ensure effective and timely communication with procurement colleagues in other procurement functions as well as business stakeholders in BUs/functions
- Collaborate with other geography procurement teams to ensure full visibility to local category strategies and ensure sharing of best practices in and out of SATS
- Through knowledge of category strategy management identify regional/global sourcing opportunities for improved systems and process efficiencies
- Ensure strong analytics capability within Strategic Sourcing function in order to enable detailed analysis of key categories and support recommended spend and buy better strategies. In conjunction with business owners, validate buying requirements (demand management) and guide requisitioners to the most appropriate products and services
- Ensure Key Performance metrics for Global Procurement operational efficiency and effectiveness monitored and applied
- In conjunction with supplier performance management team to ensure supplier performance feedbacks, dispute and complaints are timely acted upon
- In conjunction with supplier risk management team to ensure proper supplier audit is carried out timely. Work with supplier risk management team to ensure risk mitigation and compliance.
- In conjunction with supplier relationship management team to ensure SRM tasks and initiatives are properly carried out, monitored and measured
- Partner with strategic suppliers to identify and implement cost improvement initiatives in alignment with category strategies
- Manage Global Procurement Policy and Global Procurement Operation Manual procedures for BUs/functions and in coordination with Head of Procurement in other geographies (as applicable) to ensure consistent and complied implementation
- Facilitate approvals/sign off from appropriate stakeholders where applicable to ensure agreement before commitment given to spending.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain / Commerce / Business preferred
- Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing experience in procurement, preferably gained in FMCG/ Hospitality/ Retail / Consulting
- Experience in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing such as 7SSP, consulting and/or business operations
- Experience in people management, training and talent development
- Proven experiences in managing complex internal and external partnership for outsourced and insourced Procurement services as well as change management projects

- Leadership skills, strategic business management and change management skills
- Exceptional business communication skills, including negotiations and influencing business stakeholders and management
- Category management knowledge and experience, knowledge and understanding of the defined category and external supply market dynamics
