An ideal Assistant/ Nurse Educator will take on the role of Master Trainer, overseeing the designing, reviewing, and enhancing of nursing training materials. He/ she will coordinate and implement training programs to equip nurses with the required and relevant skills needed to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and safe care to the patients under MIC (Mobile Inpatient Care) @ Home. He/ she will formulate and review clinical practice guidelines and competency assessment, in accordance with established policies and protocols of the various hospital partners.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Act as a resource person on nursing training and clinical issues to ensure quality standards of care.
- Establish optimal clinical learning environment.
- Conduct learning needs analysis to identify learning gaps and training needs of nurses.
- Design, develop, and revise curriculum for nurses to ensure clinical standards, according to the patient’s needs, evidence-based best practices and partner hospitals’ requirements.
- Ensure appropriate orientation, training and continuing education for new nursing staff to advance and maintain the required level of competency.
- Facilitate staff development, skills and competency upgrading through in-house training, online learning, or external formal training opportunities.
- Conduct regular competency assessments to maintain and enhance nursing professionalism and quality standards.
- Develop and implement e-learning resources.
- Utilise effective teaching strategies to develop critical thinking and clinical reasoning.
- Maintain training records.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with Advanced Diploma in Nursing/Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred.
- Registration with Singapore Nursing Board
- Certificate in Education/ Adult learning and previous equivalent/ relevant appointment of at least 2 years would be preferred.
- Willing to travel islandwide for competency assessment
