The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Director of Engineering in overseeing both the operational and design aspects of the hotels facilities. This role involves utilizing design software like AutoCAD to create and modify technical drawings, support engineering projects and ensure that all designs align with local standards and hotel requirements.

As an Assistant Chief Engineer (Project & Operation) we rely on you to:

Project Management

Assist in Planning & Execution - Collaborate with DOE to plan, implement, and overseeing engineering projects, including renovations, upgrades and new installations
Prepare project budgets and manage expenditures to ensure that projects are completed within allocated financial resources
Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure that project specifications and schedule are met
Utilize AUTOCAD and other design software to create detailed drawings and schematics for renovations, maintenance projects and new installations
Assist in conceptualizing and drafting layouts for MEPS and HVAC systems that meet operational requirements and safety standards

Operational Support

Evaluate equipment and system performance through detailed analysis
Develop and update preventive maintenance schedules based on design specifications to enhance equipment reliability and lifespan
Participate in evaluating team performance, providing constructive feedback and conducting regular training sessions to enhance skills
Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans related to engineering systems, including fire safety and disaster recovery protocols
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, project progress and inventory of parts and supplies

We are looking for someone who:
Experience in Project Management, Engineering Operations or a Similar Role Within the Hospitality Industry
At least 3 years of relevant experience
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively motivate and develop a diverse team
Ability to perform under pressure and adeptly handle last-minute changes or requests
