Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities
· Design and produce single line diagrams of electrical/instrument system and determine the interface/termination diagrams in accordance with equipment specifications.
· Size cables and breakers LV/MV according to applicable rules and regulations.
· Review all electrical equipment, vendor’s proposals for technical accuracy and constructability
· Prepare material take off for bulk material orders of power and control cables, cable trays and ladders and various ship electrical equipment and systems according to project contract specifications.
· Prepare electrical equipment foundations/supports and room arrangement/layout, lighting layout, power/control cableway plan, power/control cables routing plan and cable schedules.
· Interface, size and design electrical equipment capacity e.g. switchboards, transformers, navigation, PABX, LAN and fire & gas systems, etc.
· Prepare electrical installation construction standard according to IEC/IEEE shipbuilding practice and international standard.
· Coordinate/execute contract specification requirements and production inputs into engineering drawing/document.
· Provide progress reporting and schedule management of engineering deliverables.
· Coordinate with other production team members, subcontractors and consultants to resolve technical issues onsite which affect the electrical schedule and project deliverables.
· Perform site visits to solve engineering problems when required to determine existing conditions or verify new construction.
· Meet with vendors, client reps, accreditation representatives when required.
· Review and reply to class comments
· Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor
· Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company’s quality, safety, health and environmental (QSHE) policies, practices and procedures at all times.
Requirements
· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working in a marine/offshore industry either with shipyards or marine equipment manufacturers and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline or minimum 6 years of experience working in a marine/offshore industry either with shipyards or marine equipment manufacturers.
· Familiarity with Marine & Offshore rules, regulations and requirements.
· Knowledge of Intergraph Software will be an added advantage.
· Good communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task
· A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Pay: $3,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month
