Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager to drive both financial performance and operational success. This role involves overseeing daily operations, leading a team, and ensuring that the store meets high standards of service and food quality.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing store operations to ensure smooth daily functioning.

• Lead and supervise Supervisors and Crew members to achieve operational goals.

• Plan and deploy staffing to ensure adequate manpower for daily operations.

• Maintain food preparation guidelines to achieve desired quality and standards.

• Coach staff to deliver an exceptional service experience to customers.

• Address customer queries and feedback in a professional and timely manner.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards as per statutory guidelines.

• Enforce adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.

• Monitor staff performance and enforce discipline when necessary.

• Facilitate on-the-job training for all staff to ensure continuous development.

• Monitor supplier operations and provide feedback to the Store Manager when necessary.

Requirements:

• GCE 'O' Level or equivalent.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the food and beverage industry (experience in Japanese cuisine is a plus).

• Strong communication skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.

• Quality-driven with a solid understanding of local food and beverage trends.

• A keen eye for detail and a customer-centric mindset.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Availability to work on weekends and public holidays.

• Junior applicants may be considered for the Supervisor role.
