Our lab is seeking to hire a research assistant to complete wet lab and dry lab work. The role will focus on wet lab and dry lab work related to a recently awarded grant on artificial intelligence on epigenetics and wet lab work to test key findings related to this.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Devise experimental plans and formulate hypotheses for conducting experiments (includes wet lab and dry lab work)

  • Work both independently and collaboratively to conduct experiments and plan for new experiments based on the findings

  • Responsible for publishing and presenting research work as presentations and research manuscripts as well as contributing to the writing of new grant proposals, grant reports, and so on.

  • Responsible for ensuring and contributing to lab safety and efficient lab operations, and any other relevant admin tasks.

  • Responsible for training new PhD students, junior research assistants, and junior students and any other mentoring duties.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s (for PO and Research Assistant equivalent) degree in biological sciences or related field

  • At least 3 years of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience in epigenetics and bioinfomatics.

  • Familiarity with epigenetics and bioinformatics e.g. AI related to epigenetics

  • Good written and oral communication skills (if applicable)

  • Proficiency in wet lab and dry lab work.

  • Competent in collaboration and able to work collaboratively with other lab members

  • Interpersonal skills: Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details, excellent organizational and time management skills
