Re:Nue is the social enterprise arm of The Salvation Army. By re-using, recycling and restoring donations in kind from the public and corporations, it generates income through its Family Stores to support our mission to provide holistic care to the community.

DESIGNATION : Sales Assistant (Part-Time)

Sales Assistant supports the mission of the Re:Nue, a social enterprise, highly regarded by public for its excellent delivery of donation in kind service which is sensitive and responsive to the community welfare needs and meeting the funding needs of The Salvation Army.
It is expected that the Sales Assistant will be involved in sales work, merchandise display, operation of point of sales and assisting special sales events with attention to quality and customer service, environment and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform duties with integrity, reliability, and commitment to time management.
- Manage daily sales transactions efficiently.
- Operate the cash register accurately and effectively.
- Collaborate with the Manager/Supervisor on store layout, product display, merchandising, and customer service.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all shoppers.
- Continuously arrange and update stock displays to enhance visual appeal.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented store environment at all times.
- Work towards achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Ensure timely submission of daily sales reports.
- Uphold safety and cleanliness standards in all work areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic sales and cashiering knowledge, including handling cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members effectively.
- Basic merchandising knowledge to assist in product display and store layout.
Other Requirements:
- Physically fit, as the role may involve standing for long hours and rearranging stock displays.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- A positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility to uphold store standards and sales performance.

Working Days Per Week: 5 days/44hours
Work Hours: Mondays to Sundays, including Public Holidays,
- Upper Bukit Timah - 10.00am to 7.00pm (Off Days and Rest Days will be rostered)
- Ang Mo Kio - 9.00am to 6.00pm (Off Days and Rest Days will be rostered)
