About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Property Underwriting Associate to support our underwriting team in expanding Everest’s Property Portfolio.

This 6-month fixed-term contract role is ideal for a mid-level professional with experience in property insurance, or someone looking to develop their skills further in a dynamic environment. The role will focus on assisting underwriters with risk analysis, data management, and broker interactions but will not include direct underwriting authority.

Purpose And Accountabilities Of The Role

  • Assist underwriters in evaluating and analyzing property risks in accordance with the underwriting guidelines.
  • Support the preparation of underwriting submissions, including data gathering, CAT modeling, and analysis.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory updates, and compliance requirements to support underwriting decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date underwriting documentation and systems.
  • Liaise with brokers and clients to gather information and provide support on underwriting-related inquiries.
  • Assist in internal reporting, portfolio analysis, and other underwriting-related administrative tasks.
  • Participate in underwriting peer reviews and ensure adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.
  • Provide general support to the underwriting team, including handling ad-hoc projects as needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
  • At least3 -5 years of experience in property insurance, underwriting support, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with the Asia insurance market is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and organize underwriting data.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for broker and client interactions.
  • Proficiency in Excel and underwriting systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and in a fast-paced environment.
