About The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Property Underwriting Associate to support our underwriting team in expanding Everest’s Property Portfolio.
This 6-month fixed-term contract role is ideal for a mid-level professional with experience in property insurance, or someone looking to develop their skills further in a dynamic environment. The role will focus on assisting underwriters with risk analysis, data management, and broker interactions but will not include direct underwriting authority.
Purpose And Accountabilities Of The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Property Underwriting Associate to support our underwriting team in expanding Everest’s Property Portfolio.
This 6-month fixed-term contract role is ideal for a mid-level professional with experience in property insurance, or someone looking to develop their skills further in a dynamic environment. The role will focus on assisting underwriters with risk analysis, data management, and broker interactions but will not include direct underwriting authority.
Purpose And Accountabilities Of The Role
- Assist underwriters in evaluating and analyzing property risks in accordance with the underwriting guidelines.
- Support the preparation of underwriting submissions, including data gathering, CAT modeling, and analysis.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory updates, and compliance requirements to support underwriting decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date underwriting documentation and systems.
- Liaise with brokers and clients to gather information and provide support on underwriting-related inquiries.
- Assist in internal reporting, portfolio analysis, and other underwriting-related administrative tasks.
- Participate in underwriting peer reviews and ensure adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.
- Provide general support to the underwriting team, including handling ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
- At least3 -5 years of experience in property insurance, underwriting support, or a related role.
- Familiarity with the Asia insurance market is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and organize underwriting data.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for broker and client interactions.
- Proficiency in Excel and underwriting systems is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and in a fast-paced environment.
