The primary purpose of this role is to conduct reliability tests and evaluations to qualify or evaluate products as requested by internal or external customers. The role involves developing test methods, guiding junior staff, and championing project initiatives.

Our Team

The Test Engineer will be part of the GRTS division at Molex Singapore, reporting to the Lab Manager. They will work closely with internal and external customers, as well as coordinate with external labs when necessary.

What You Will Do

  • Develop test plans based on customer requirements per the test request form.
  • Design, review, and fabricate test fixtures and PCBs for product testing.
  • Review committed test schedules with the Lab Specialist and communicate with customers for alignment.
  • Coordinate with external labs on project testing needs when in-house support is not possible.
  • Initiate meetings to address product functional failures and ensure closure of test requests.
  • Review test results and compile test reports for product release and qualification.
  • Be accountable for the responsibility of assigned equipment.
  • Write and update SOPs as required by relevant tests and equipment.
  • Ensure good general housekeeping of the reliability lab.
  • Carry out tests and tasks meeting the requirements of ISO 17025.
  • Assess and establish new test methods required by projects.
  • Perform failure analysis to determine possible root causes after reviewing with customers.
  • Provide training to staff as assigned and update training records.
  • Continuously drive lab safety improvements, test setup, and fixtures.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and qualify lab testing equipment.
  • Proactively initiate projects to improve or prevent non-conformities.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Engineering Degree
  • At least 5 years of work experience in a test laboratory
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
  • Safety conscious
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams

  • Certified Reliability Engineer
  • Experience in an accredited laboratory, NPI, or QA
