- Setting up and operating laboratory equipment and instruments as outlined in current instructions
- Communicating results to the relevant Operations personnel
- Preparing reagents and standards needed for analysis
- Ensuring sufficient laboratory inventories such as Chemicals and Consumables for operation
- Involving in job safety risk activities and adhere to safe practices in the laboratory
- Performing routine/non-routine housekeeping jobs as required to keep the area clean and safe
- Covering duties in laboratory stream as assigned
- Calibration, verification, and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment as outlined in current work instruction
- Maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure proper working condition and troubleshoot malfunctions when needed
- Updating existing work instructions, analytical instructions and laboratory records as required
- Upkeeping laboratory records and maintaining the Quality file
- ITE/ Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent
- Fresh grad or minimum 1 year experience in an analytical laboratory environment in the chemical industry
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Team player
- Attention to details with accurate data recording skills
- Knowledge or experience in handling typical laboratory instruments like titrators and chromatographic instruments
