As a Data Engineer, you will be part of our global Data Services Team, mainly responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data processes and data infrastructures for quantitative research and trading.

As a Data Engineer, you will be part of our global Data Services Team, mainly responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data processes and data infrastructures for quantitative research and trading.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with portfolio managers, researchers and traders to understand their data requirements and to find data solutions
- Onboarding and managing vendor datasets used extensively in Tower trading and research platforms
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure necessary to support the firm's data management processes, including storage, compute, and networking resources
- Building and maintaining ETL pipelines
- Contributing to the design and development of Tower data platform
- Designing and implementing data quality checks
- Monitoring data processes and data health, participating in on-call rotation, proactively solving data related problems
- Supporting internal data users (Traders, Researchers)
- Master's in Computer Science, Quantitative Finance or Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 2+ years of experience in Python
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data modeling, and database design principles
- Familiarity with database systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Experience with CI/CD processes and DevOps
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work autonomy as part of a global team
- Proficient in AI/ML techniques for detecting patterns and anomalies
- Knowledge of referential data and corporate actions
- Experience in building scalable data systems
- Experience in the financial/trading sector
