Production Technician - Fabrication
Job Overview:
A Production Technician in the fabrication department plays a crucial role in ensuring that components are fabricated correctly and efficiently. You will work with machinery, tools, and production systems to manufacture parts and assemblies used in complex machinery. Your role combine technical knowledge, hands-on skills, and a strong focus on safety and quality.
Key responsibilities:
1. Operating and making programs for the laser machine (FMS).
2. Simple machine maintenance.
3. Assist senior technician to monitor production schedule and parts shortage and on time delivery of parts to next relevant sections.
4. Assist senior technician for trouble shooting on parts quality or machine problems.
5. Monitor tools and equipment's in good and serviceable condition.
6. Transferring of sheetmetal parts to next sections and paint-booth.
7. Maintenance reasonable amount of raw material in the machine.
8. Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that all fabrication processes are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies, environmental standards, and industry regulations. This includes adhering to safety protocols, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
9. Production Documentation: Keeping accurate records of production activities, machine settings, maintenance logs, and quality checks. This is essential for process tracking, inventory management, and audits.
10. Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with engineers, production managers, and other team members to ensure that fabrication processes align with overall production schedules and quality standards.
11. Material Handling: Selecting and handling raw materials for fabrication, such as metals, plastics, or composites. Ensuring the proper storage and handling of materials to avoid contamination or damage.
Education and Experience:
1. Minumum "O" level or 'NTC2/3
2. 1- 2 years working experience preferably in sheetmetal or machine tool environment.
3. Able to read mechanical and flat drawing.
