Responsibilities include:

  • Undertake robust and deep analysis of policy and regulatory issues in relation to scams in the telecom and media sectors. Obtain multiple perspectives from internal and external stakeholders in order to develop robust and sound policy recommendations
  • Assess local and international developments on scam issues, and assess potential contraventions of IMDA’s anti-scam measures. Develop technical solutions and/or policy frameworks and interventions, in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders, to manage different scam issues
  • Obtain a keen understanding of scam-related policy issues in Singapore's digital economy and the implications of these, which may cut across multiple sectors. Develop insights on these developments and propose well thought-through and robust recommendations
  • Evaluate Facilities-Based Operations (FBO) licence applications and proposals from industry players, while considering IMDA’s strategic objectives, WOG perspectives, and impact on industry competitiveness

Requirements:

  • Background in Economics, Public Policy or Engineering. Other disciplines can be considered.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Resourceful, highly-motivated, proactive self-starter with an analytical and creative mind
  • Result and stakeholder-oriented with multi-tasking capabilities
  • Independent officer who is able to work well in a team and be involved in cross-team projects
