The successful candidate will join the strategic sourcing department in SIA Engineering Division. He/she will support the repair management functions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join the strategic sourcing department in SIA Engineering Division. He/she will support the repair management functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and develop a network of competitive MRO suppliers to support the airline’s component repair needs
- Manage component repair orders, exchanges, and loans
- Track overall repair cycle, including shipping logistics, to achieve quick turnaround time (TAT)
- Liaise with MRO vendors on shop findings and repair workscope
- Identify component failure trends and develop corrective measures
- Pursue OEM warranty and product support commitments
- Evaluate and approve repair quotations
- Execute Power-By-Hour (PBH) and Fixed Price Package (FPP) contracts
- Monitor MRO suppliers’ performance, repair quality and shop processing time
- Optimize component inventory levels based on removal rate and repair TAT to avoid stock-out situations
- Possess a University Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Prior work experience in airline technical inventory management, or supplier management in the aviation MRO industry is preferred
- Good interpersonal, communication and negotiations skills
- Excellent command of English language, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Good working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
