About Us

We’re the Digital Solutions Unit of Hitachi Aqua-Tech Engineering Pte, Ltd on a mission to innovate through cloud-based, industrial IoT software. Our team builds smart, scalable solutions for environmental infrastructure, data collection systems, and remote monitoring solutions. We’re small, agile, and passionate about building great tech while solving real-world problems that matter.

We work together, learn together, and support each other across roles. We’re now looking for a database-savvy Full Stack Engineer who thrives in this kind of environment.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Full Stack Engineer with strong database expertise to take ownership of our data architecture. This is a database-first role where you'll focus on designing and maintaining scalable, performant systems to handle industrial data—especially time-series telemetry from sensors and IoT devices. You’ll collaborate with our existing team members, contributing to full-stack features as needed, but you’ll be the go-to person for anything data-related.

If you're excited by the idea of solving database challenges, exploring modern serverless tech, and collaborating with a close-knit team that has each other’s backs, this could be your ideal role.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and own our database architecture for high-frequency industrial/telemetry data
  • Optimize data storage, retrieval, indexing, archiving, and compression strategies
  • Evaluate and implement time-series databases where appropriate
  • Develop data pipelines and aggregation strategies for dashboards, analytics, and reporting
  • Create automated reporting solutions: PDF generation, Excel exports, and scheduled email reports
  • Contribute to backend APIs using Python (FastAPI) or ASP.NET Core
  • Support the frontend team with React.js where applicable
  • Collaborate with the team on AWS cloud architecture
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and deployment automation
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and architecture discussions
  • Work fully remotely while staying closely connected with the team

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–6 years of experience in full stack or backend development roles
  • Strong database design, optimization, and management experience
  • Deep understanding of SQL, relational DBs, and AWS RDS
  • Experience handling time-series data and high-ingestion workloads
  • Familiarity with data aggregation, indexing, data archival, and compression techniques
  • Experience building or maintaining data pipelines and ETL workflows
  • Proficiency in backend development with Python (FastAPI), Node.js, or C#/.NET Core
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services
  • CI/CD and DevOps experience (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, etc.)
  • Passion for learning and solving problems as a team
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership

Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, or similar time-series solutions
  • Prior exposure to industrial telemetry, IoT, or sensor data
  • Building dashboards with real-time and historical data views
  • Automated email or WhatsApp reporting systems
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and container orchestration
  • Experience in remote-first environments

Growth Opportunity

We’re a small but ambitious team, and we believe in growing our people. Whether you're deepening your technical skills or expanding into cloud architecture, you’ll have a real path to becoming a Solutions Architect. Your ideas won’t just be heard—they’ll shape the future of our platform and your career.

What We Offer

  • Fully remote work environment
  • Work with a team that values ownership, transparency, and mutual support
  • Influence technical decisions and product direction
  • Meaningful projects with real-world impact
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Opportunities for continuous learning and upskilling

If you’re a responsible, proactive full stack developer with a passion for data, and you’re excited to join a team that shares knowledge and builds great things together, we’d love to hear from you!
