- Ensure prompt and accurate delivery of orders to guests' rooms, ensuring that all items are presented in an appealing and organized manner by standard.
- Set up and maintain in-room dining stations, ensuring that they are clean, well-stocked, and properly organized.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally, striving to exceed expectations.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of orders, adhering to quality standards.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens, to assist guests if needed.
- Upsell and promote additional food and beverage offerings to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, following established procedures.
- Uphold and enforce health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Education & Certification
- Minimum Secondary school education with ‘O’ Level passes; Diploma in any field is an advantage
- Previous experience as a server or in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external guests.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately take and deliver orders.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, based on scheduling.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, preparation methods.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and other relevant technology used in in-room dining operations.
- A commitment to upholding health and safety standards and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Possess a well-groomed, professional appearance.
