Position Overview
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and fostering business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel. The individual will overlook the activities and performance of corporate FIT and group accounts, developing action plan to achieve organizational sales goals and revenue.
The Role
Sales activities
- Maximize sales and upselling/cross-selling opportunities through soliciting new corporate FIT and group accounts and maintaining relationship with existing accounts
- Schedule meetings with potential clients and coordinate business deals that seek to promote the hotel and its services
- Fulfills a minimum of 20 sales activities per week including sales call, entertainment and site inspection.
- Collaborate and communicate with relevant departments to meet guests' requirements
- Meet or exceed individual and room sales target set by the management.
- Ensure sales activities focus on all facilities including Club Residences, Catering, Food and Beverage, Auriga Spa, inclusive of all experiences in the hotel.
- Prospect new businesses through phone solicitation, on-site sales calls, conducing site-visits, and participations in relevant industry events, trade exhibitions and overseas sales trips to promote the hotel and develop potential business.
- Develop an action plan that will address the accounts needs and demands and review with Director of Sales and Director of Sales & Marketing on a quarterly basis. This includes tactical plan of action and development of other key accounts
- Monitors competitors' activities as it relates to both the hotel and the portfolio of accounts and share relevant information with key stakeholders.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments
- Organise quarterly clients engagement activities
Talent Profile
- Diploma in Hospitality Management
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Room Sales for a luxury hotel
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office including words, excel, power point
- Knowledge in Opera Cloud
- Able to train new team members
