Principal Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee an established childcare centre to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Oversee scheduling and planning of staff scheduling and child’s daily routine to ensure well-being of the children in center
- Work closely with external agencies to ensure regulatory compliance and best support
- Work closely with management and rest of the teaching and non-teaching team to ensure staff well-being and morale
- Support enrollment and be a spokesperson for the school’s Montessori system to be able to explain benefits of the system to parents
- Build rapport with student and parents in order to facilitate open communication and trust.
- Prepare/Review lessons plans, conduct lesson evaluation, prepare/review teaching aids and review children’s portfolio in order to facilitate the optimal development of each child
- Plan, organize, oversee and participate in school activities inside and outside of the class in order to extend and the experiences and development of the children
- Perform other related duties as assigned by director
Requirements:
- Diploma in Preschool Teaching / Early Childhood Care & Education–Leadership (DECCE-L) or higher
- Min 2 years in teaching position certify as L2 by ECDA
