
Mission Support Programme Project Manager
About this Role:
The Mission Support Programme (MSP) Project Manager plays a crucial role in leading, coordinating, and managing the Mission Support Programme, ensuring the effective implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of mission projects across CWM’s 32 member churches.
Reporting to the Mission Secretary for Mission Programme and Partnership, the MSP Project Manager ensures mission support initiatives align with CWM’s strategic vision and contribute meaningfully to life-flourishing communities. This role is based in Singapore and requires frequent international travel to engage with global colleagues, church partners, and stakeholders.
The MSP Project Manager will work closely with CWM’s governing bodies, global offices, finance team, ecumenical partners, youth movements, and civil society groups, ensuring that MSP remains a relevant and impactful mission programme.
Job Purpose:
The MSP Project Manager is responsible for the Mission Support Programme's overall coordination, management, and strategic direction. The role ensures that MSP effectively supports member churches’ mission work through comprehensive programme planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting (PMER). The Project Manager will facilitate engagement with global and finance colleagues, ensure efficient resource allocation, and enhance collaboration across CWM departments and member churches.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
· Coordinate the Mission Support Programme strategically, ensuring its alignment with CWM’s missional focus and strategic priorities. This involves conceptualizing, planning, and managing mission engagement with member churches through programme development and project implementation.
· Implement project management through mission consultation and roundtable meetings with member churches supported by global colleagues to discern and determine optimal approaches and best practices.
· Maintain proper implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of ongoing MSP projects by field visits.
· Ensure systematic and updated records management and e-filing of MSP-related documents.
· Facilitate and enhance MSP work processes across the CWM departments (i.e., office of the General Secretary, finance team and global offices) and member churches.
· Coordinate the member churches’ project reporting (narrative and financial) by providing direction to global and finance colleagues.
· Provide technical support to member churches in developing narrative and financial reports, ensuring timely reporting and accountability across all MSP projects.
· Explore opportunities for mission partnership to enable member churches to develop the capacity to implement their MSP projects more capably.
Job requirement:
· This role requires relocation to Singapore, if necessary.
· At least a post-graduate diploma or degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a multicultural context.
· A deep commitment to mission and Christian faith, with the ability to integrate theological reflection, missional engagement, and project management in a way that aligns with CWM’s vision.
· Experience in project evaluation and impact assessment, particularly in the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting (PMER) cycle.
· Self-driven and adaptable, capable of working independently while firmly committed to CWM’s mission and values.
· Knowledge and experience in missional and theological discourse, with a strong commitment to justice, equity, and holistic mission engagement. Similar experience in a non-profit organization or church setting.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people across diverse cultures and languages.
· Strong communication skills – verbal and written, and skilled in incorporating new learning into strategy.
· Ability to undertake frequent international travel, with more than 50% of your time spent travelling to various global locations.
