Facilities & Building Executive
This role reports to the Manager (Facilities & Building) to manage building maintenance and upgrading projects, as well as provide logistical support for church activities and events at one of our worship centres.
If you have a diploma / degree in a relevant discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Building Services/Estate Management and possess good interpersonal skills, be a part of our team.
Job Responsibilities:
Building Maintenance and Upgrading Projects
- Carry out regular checks and inspection of facilities. Plan, organise and supervise handyman/cleaning supervisor on minor repairs, maintenance and repainting works and outsource to contractors for major or specialised repair works.
- Review, evaluate and engage contractors and vendors for the general repairs, and regular maintenance of facilities and building services such as lift, fire alarm, electrical, plumbing, air con and mechanical ventilation systems, plumbing, CCTV and door access systems.
- Look into areas of improvement of facilities. Work with contractors or interior designers for proposals and costing of improvement, refurbishment, and renovation works for Board approval and to implement these works upon approval.
Co-ordinate Events Management / Logistics / Cleaning Work
- Work with lay leaders, Centre Administration Executive and Ministry Executives in coordinating and providing logistical support for activities, services, functions and events requiring the use of facilities at the Centre.
- Work with cleaning/logistic company on the Sunday setup of facilities for worship services and other setups during the week as required.
- Engage and monitor waste disposal services, pest control services landscape services.
Engage and supervise cleaning/logistics company for the daily and periodic cleaning and upkeep of building and facilities.
Safety and Security Review
- Operate CCTV systems and door access systems for incident reports.
- Deploy as a Fire Safety Manager in the event of an emergency evacuation as part of emergency response team.
- Review the safety and security protocols from time to time with B&F Manager.
- Supervise the contracted security officers to ensure the safety of the property as well as the occupants of the building and visitors.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in a relevant discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Building Services/Estate Management.
- Fire Safety Manager certificate is preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including MS Teams and Zoom.
- Able to handle stressful situations.
- Good interpersonal skills.
