Scope of Works:
- Brief Installations’ and Authority’s Safety Committee on updates on incidents and any new rules and regulations from the MOM
- Maintain, review and manage the Installations’ Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, lifting plans, fall prevention plans, traffic management plans, emergency response plans, etc including all submissions by the Plant’s contractors that are required under the WSHA.
- Track, plan, schedule and conduct safety related trainings for staff employed by the Installations
- Assist with engaging relevant authorities and stakeholders on WSH and work closely with the Fire Safety Manager on fire safety related matters
- Plan, coordinate, conduct and take part in safety inspections and emergency drills for the Installations
- Coordinate and see through the implementation of safety measures and improvement projects
- Develop the Workplace Safety and Health Management System and sets up WSH programmes to support WSH policy. Drive WSH performance management plans and systems
- Develop Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans (EPRP) and refine plans to cover risks.
- Monitor closely on WSH parameters by reviewing current processes and systems and implement industry best practices to improve the safety to meet legal requirements.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct internal WSH Audit and review on the Safety and Health Management System
- Conduct safety orientation briefings and trainings to the staff and contractors.
- Plan and manage WSH performance management details, WSH roles and responsibilities across all branches, WSH structure to sustain WSH goals.
- Work with authorities and the SCDF to respond to emergencies.
- Investigate any WSH incidents and manage the accident investigation process.
