In the current environment, the need for engaged employees has become even more crucial to support whole-of-government and agency transformation to enable innovation, creativity and change. Hence, the biennial Public Service Employee Engagement Survey (EES), which reaches out to more than 150,000 Public Officers across about 100 agencies, is an important sentiment tracking exercise that: (i) gives voice to Public Officers, (ii) allows public agencies to measure the level of engagement within their organisations, and (iii) provides a holistic assessment of the Public Service's progress in employee engagement and Public Sector Transformation (PST) across Whole-of-Government. Ensuring the smooth execution of this large-scale survey is crucial for gathering accurate and timely data to inform decision-making across government agencies. PSD's Data Office and the People & Culture Group (PCG) play vital roles in overseeing the implementation of EES - across the public service and at the organisational level respectively - and analyse the resulting data to inform data-driven strategies. Key Responsibilities As an intern in the Data Office & PCG team, you will play a crucial role in the smooth implementation of EES. Your responsibilities will include: Survey Design & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify key areas of inquiry for their organisations and translate them into effective survey questions. You will also assist with queries and resolution of requests made by agencies, which will allow you to hone your communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders and develop a deeper understanding of diverse organisational needs. Survey Preparation: Guide agencies on survey preparation through improving their data quality, accuracy and completeness, and gain insight into the complexities of survey preparation and the importance of precise information in a real-world the process. Working with Systems & Data Analysis: You will gain hands-on experience with using an employee engagement survey tool, assisting with survey creation. You will also help conduct quantitative analysis to identify trends, patterns and insights from survey responses. Communication materials and plan: Help prepare clear and engaging communications to public officers about upcoming surveys. This may include drafting survey invitation emails, reminders, and updates to various stakeholder groups. Where possible, you would also assist in developing presentation materials to share survey findings with internal stakeholders.
