Job Purpose:
To oversee and manage airfreight operations, ensuring the timely and efficient movement of shipments while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all airfreight shipments, including imports and exports.
- Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely cargo movement.
- Monitor and manage cargo space bookings and allocations with airlines.
- Prepare and process shipping documents such as airway bills (AWB), cargo manifests, and customs declarations.
- Ensure proper handling of sensitive or perishable goods, adhering to specialised requirements like temperature control or hazardous material guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and operational activities.
- Prepare operational and performance reports for management review.
- Manage billing and closing of shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of all financial transactions related to air freight operations
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in airfreight management systems and software.
- Familiarity with cargo booking platforms and airline portals.
- Knowledge of customs clearance processes and documentation.
- With airfreight operations experience is an advantage
