
PR and Communications - Specialist
Role Summary
The PR & Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance the visibility and reputation of Our Client and its affiliated entities. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong media relationships, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle both proactive campaigns and crisis situations effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Media Relations & PR Strategy
- Develop and execute PR strategies that elevate the brand visibility and reputation of the Company and its associated entities.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and key media contacts across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
- Proactively pitch compelling stories, news angles, and thought leadership opportunities to secure positive media coverage.
- Monitor media trends and identify PR opportunities that align with company goals, recommending strategic initiatives.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and company statements ensuring brand consistency and messaging.
Crisis Management
- Serve as the primary contact for all crisis communication situations, developing and maintaining crisis communication protocols.
- Prepare and deliver crisis communication plans, media statements, and internal communications to effectively manage sensitive issues.
- Provide media training and guidance to company spokespersons, ensuring effective and confident public appearances.
Marketing Communications
- Develop integrated communication plans that align with marketing campaigns and the broader brand strategy.
- Oversee content development for corporate announcements, newsletters, and internal communications, ensuring consistent messaging.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align all marketing materials with corporate messaging and brand identity.
- Manage and update company websites, blogs, and social media channels in partnership with the digital marketing team.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strategic partnerships with industry associations, media outlets, and external stakeholders to expand the company’s presence.
- Represent the company at public engagements, media briefings, and key events.
- Organize media interviews, press conferences, and corporate events as required.
Reporting & Analysis
- Track the performance of PR campaigns and prepare regular reports for management.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve communication strategies based on data-driven results and feedback.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a public relations, media relations, or corporate communications role.
- Proven success in pitching stories to media outlets and securing coverage across diverse platforms.
- Established network of media contacts in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for various audiences.
- Experience in crisis communications and managing high-pressure situations effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
GOOD TO HAVE
- Experience in the technology, semiconductor, biopharmaceutical, or data center industries will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms is a plus.
