Junior Horticulture Nursery Assistant

Sustenir Agriculture a leading fresh leaf producer in Singapore is currently embarking on an expansion project with a new greenhouse farm in Choa Chu Kang. As a result of this expansion program, we are seeking a fresh Horticulture graduate male or female (Degree or Diploma) to join our Team.

We are looking for a motivated Junior Horticulture Nursery Assistant to join our team at a fully automated glasshouse farm.

You will be working with the Greenhouse Grower, Agronomist and General Manager Operations on amongst other duties, managing a small seedling nursery, doing variety trials, growing microgreens, edible flowers and maintaining the plants for the farm’s insectarium. The ideal candidate should have a passion for horticulture, an eagerness to learn about advanced farming technology, and the ability to work in a high-tech environment.

Working Week: 5.5 Days

Working Location: 76 Sungei Tengah Road, Singapore 699926

Salary Range: S$ 1800 – S$2200

Reporting into: Head of Operations

Role and Responsibility:

· Follow instructions to cultivate plants to meet timely and quality output targets.

· Assist in day-to-day efforts in conducting trials

· Support the business by tracking and collecting data on the performance of crops. Data such as germination, transplant, plant characteristics, yield etc.

Requirement:

· Have completed a recognized Horticulture/ Nurseryman course

· Physically fit, non-claustrophobic

· Good teamwork and communication skills.

· Male or female and under the age of 25.

· Computer literacy is required (MS Word, Excel and Power Point).
