Responsibilities
- Perform simple QS function to analyze cost comparison, prepare budget, evaluate and recommend on the award of Sub-contractors / vendors & implement cost control monitoring;
- Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off if necessary;
- Prepare Variation Orders, evaluate, recommend & settlement of sub-contractor / vendors’ payments claims & final accounts,
- Sourcing and negotiations with reliable and reputable vendors / suppliers;
- Prepare and Issue Work Orders/ Letter of Award to sub-contractor.
- Manage daily procurement and contract requirements, maintain, monitor and update the procurement database / costing with budget;
- Assist Management in all contractual and costing matters
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the management.
- Examining and reviewing or assessing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements
- Liaising and working collaboratively with site managers, clients, contractors and subcontractors
- Gathering and preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, and other necessary and relevant documents and forwarding them to the appropriate management or personnel
- Providing advice, recommendations, and suggestions to managers and clients on innovative improvements and new strategies
- Documenting relevant changes in design and updating budgets when required
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, monitor, and manage every aspect of the cost and production of a particular construction project
- Excellent negotiating skills required to negotiate costs with vendors and subcontractors and ensure the best deals and minimum budget as much as possible
- Good organizational skills, able to organize, plan, and strategize when necessary
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills which will enable to write detailed and concise reports and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders efficiently and effectively
Requirements
- Degree Holders in Quantity Surveying
- Willing to learn and work under pressure
- konwledge in Mandrain languages to handle queries and feedbacks to associates, clients and customers
- Minimum 2-3 years of related working experience, with QS experience is a must.
- Meticulous and good interpersonal skill;
- Able to work independently under minimum supervision
