As a Service Crew member at 6oz Espresso Bar, you will be the face of our café, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that customers have a great experience. You will be responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, preparing drinks, serving food, and maintaining a clean and organized café environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Greet and welcome customers in a friendly, professional manner as they enter the café.
  • Take customer orders accurately, ensuring that their requests are understood and met.
  • Provide menu recommendations, explain special offers, and ensure customers are informed of available items.
  • Serve food and drinks to customers efficiently and with a positive attitude.
  • Handle customer inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing issues or complaints in a professional and calm manner.

Order Management:

  • Take customer orders and input them into the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
  • Ensure that orders are prepared and served in a timely manner, adhering to café standards.
  • Coordinate with baristas and kitchen staff to ensure the smooth flow of orders and minimize wait times.

Food & Beverage Preparation:

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of coffee, tea, and other beverages, following café recipes and presentation standards.
  • Help in preparing food items such as pastries, sandwiches, or salads, and assist with any kitchen duties as needed.
  • Ensure that all beverages and food are prepared to a high standard, consistently and efficiently.

Cafe Maintenance & Cleanliness:

  • Maintain a clean and organized café environment, including cleaning tables, floors, and restrooms as needed.
  • Ensure that all service areas, including the counter, beverage stations, and seating areas, are clean and well-stocked.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene and sanitation procedures.
  • Regularly check and restock supplies such as napkins, straws, cups, and condiments.

Cash Handling & Payments:

  • Operate the POS system to process customer transactions, including cash and card payments.
  • Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide correct change and receipts, and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly in the system.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with team members to ensure smooth café operations, providing assistance during busy periods.
  • Assist colleagues in preparing orders and cleaning up as needed to ensure quick and efficient service.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by maintaining a cooperative and supportive attitude with colleagues.
