DESCRIPTION

  • This position reports to the CEO. Key aspects of the job include leading the asset management and operation team to provide strategic directions to achieve greatest return for the HBAO group. This position will encompass 60% of operations and 40% of business development activities. He/she will provide professional inputs on asset maintenance, advise on equipment for FPSO to ensure operability and maintainability of asset, develop processes to set up and manage operations & maintenance contract and identify solutions to reach the desired levels of productions that conform to the environmental safety regulations and standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities included but not limited to the following job scope:

  • Manage overall asset integrity (physical structure or unit in oil and gas/marine services/any operating facility owned and managed by HBA).
  • Manage overall asset operability against KPIs set for safety, uptime, availability, economic performance/efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver a high quality, cost effective asset management and operations for the group’s assets, facilities, and fleets. Ensure that a system is in place to actively monitor risks by mitigation and developing contingency management plans for the group.
  • Formulate policies, set daily operation processes that inculcate a culture of safety & compliance mind set amongst the employees. Ensure all asset facilities management (AFM) policies, procedures and guidelines are in place and fully integrated into the group’s planning and performance processes.
  • Keep abreast with the updates of the Singapore’s safety and compliance standards, as well as that of the overseas host countries’ regulatory bodies where the HBA Offshore fleets operate, ensuring group’s continued compliance to the regulations.
  • Conduct periodic checks on the group’s operating facilities and fleets to ensure that they are well maintained to be in optimal performance and upkeep for operation readiness.
  • Represent asset integrity to governing bodies and jurisdiction over the facility by being the liaison with authorities to ensure local regulatory requirements are met and to complete formalities related to regulatory compliance and reporting.
  • To develop policies/manuals/standards, keep regulatory certifications up to date and facilitate inspection to audit and rectify the facility for any noncompliance.
  • To manage all aspects of the planning, conduct and termination of the decommissioning of facilities.
  • Manage stakeholders from all levels as the liaison for matters related to insurance, unions, and ministry of manpower/labour.
  • Supervises work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards.
  • Responsible for hiring, terminating, training, and developing, reviewing performance, and administering corrective action for staff.
  • To carry out business development activities and meet the target set as per the annual budget by promoting services to 3rd party.
  • To translate facility requirements into the tender documents for new projects.
  • Participate in the business development of AFM, and fleet acquisition /procurement functions, ensure that the group’s set financial objectives on these assets are achieved.
  • Liaise with finance directorate to undertake and manage the annual financial plans for the group’s assets and facilities. This includes development of budgets, exercise tight control over expenses, develop high quality but cost-effective service level contracts with third party vendors on facilities maintenance.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external clients.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering.
  • At least 25 years of experience in similar capacity.
  • Nigeria Ops experience minimum 12-15 years.
  • AMO in Singapore/KL experience minimum 25 years.
  • Political savvy, maturity to handle stakeholders of different levels.
  • Have managed a big team regionally.
  • Is culturally savvy and possess good networking skills.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements in different countries.
  • Good communication, organising and interpersonal skills are critical.
  • Positive attitude / Drive for result.
  • Good sense of numerical projection and estimation.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Must be comfortable to travel to regional facilities during course of work.
  • Computer literate in MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
