
Project Engineer
• Perform inspection, commissioning, upgrading, troubleshooting and related service work on land based sites, if required
• Liaise with customer management during on site job
• Communicate with respective Managers for briefing and debriefing of service-related activities.
• Fill in necessary job reports, ISO work instructions and checklists required for all work in a timely manner.
• Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of VEM products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner.
• Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
• Commission, troubleshoot, VEM equipment, if required.
• Provide training to other VEM personnel on the following systems and equipment as needed.
• > Electrical Systems (including various types of AC/DC motors)
• > Analog and digital PLC based systems
• > Proprietary integrated control system
• > Variable Frequency Drives LV, MV and HV
• Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
• Monitoring and controlling project financials to maintain or improve contract margins, cash flow and cash generation
• Providing leadership and active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification.
• Supporting local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders.
• Identifying, containing and reducing risk, and ensure that all opportunities for Customer Satisfaction, Margin Improvement and/or Project Growth are captured and acted upon.
• Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract
