
Manager/Assistant Director, Financial Accounting & Policy Development #JTL
Policy Development and Implementation:
• Initiate and lead policy change projects through collaboration with business partners and stakeholders to identify needs and gather feedback.
• Propose, develop, and refine policies and procedures to ensure alignment with the University's best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Develop comprehensive materials to communicate policy changes to the community effectively.
• Monitor the implementation of new policies, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement.
Process Improvement:
• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and optimise financial and governance processes.
• Collaborate across teams to implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Document and communicate process changes to ensure consistency and understanding across the University.
Tender Process Support:
• Gather and analyse data to support the tender process.
• Liaise with stakeholders and prepare comprehensive evaluation materials to assist in decision-making.
Project Management:
• Lead improvement projects, including the Delegation of Authority Framework, Internal Controls Governance, and other project initiatives.
• Execute and implement project plans, monitor progress and ensure timely completion and achievement of objectives, including maintaining detailed project documentation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and team members to drive successful project outcomes.
• Enable change management through facilitating user training and workshops.
Other Responsibilities:
• Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in accountancy.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a finance role, with strong background and involvement in internal controls and governance.
• Demonstrated experience in policy development.
