
Senior Sales Catering Manager
Job Description & Requirements
The Senior Sales Manager Catering is responsible for driving catering sales and revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong client relationships, creating innovative catering solutions, and managing end-to-end sales processes. This role involves prospecting new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a strong background in catering sales, excellent negotiation skills, and a results-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve catering revenue targets.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new catering business through networking, cold calling, and market research.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Partner with event planners, corporate clients, and other stakeholders to generate leads.
Client & Event Management:
- Conduct client consultations to understand catering needs and preferences.
- Provide customized catering solutions and menu recommendations.
- Work closely with the culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of catering events.
- Conduct site visits, tastings, and pre-event meetings with clients.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service.
Revenue & Budget Management:
- Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts to maximize revenue.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Track and manage catering budgets, ensuring profitability.
- Prepare reports and forecasts for senior management.
Marketing & Brand Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in catering sales or hospitality sales, with at least 3 years in a senior sales role.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of catering operations, food & beverage trends, and event planning.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
