As Commis Cook, you will be responsible for supporting Chef De Partie (CDP) and will perform cooking, cleaning, delivery, and other support duties.

Job Description

  • Maintain daily mis-en-place and prepare ingredients.
  • Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately.
  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation.
  • Keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
  • Adhere to recipes and stock management.
  • Adjust cooking based on guest preferences.
  • Comply at all times with the Staff Code of Conduct.
  • Comply with the provisions of your contract and any of our Company Policies and set an example for more junior members of staff.
  • Ensure that every job given is executed up to the standard.
  • Follow up the hygiene procedure and standard given by superior.
  • Maintain high standard of hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness in all kitchen areas.
  • Other adhoc duties as and when assigned.

Job Requirement

  • Nitec or Higher Nitec in Culinary Arts and above or equivalent.
  • Minimum with 1 year of relevant experience as commis cook in a casual restaurant
  • If you have a Food & Hygiene certificate will be an added advantage.
  • Only Singaporean
