Job Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Establish overall project execution frameworks, including objectives, scopes, budgets, and timelines.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project milestones and delivery schedules.
- Identify and assess potential risks and implement strategies to manage them effectively.
- Define key success indicators and implement mechanisms for tracking progress.
- Lead cross-functional teams comprising engineers, project managers, site supervisors, and appointed consultants.
- Delegate responsibilities and manage resources to meet project requirements.
- Provide coaching and direction to team members, fostering a results-oriented and safety-first culture.
- Manage full project budgets, ensuring fiscal discipline and alignment with overall business objectives.
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and manage variations across contracts.
- Drive negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Act as the main liaison for all project-related communication with consultants, contractors, and internal leaders.
- Provide timely project status updates, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation actions.
- Mediate and resolve disputes or challenges that arise during project execution.
- Ensure strict compliance with statutory regulations, building codes, and internal governance requirements.
- Implement robust on-site safety practices and conduct regular inspections to mitigate hazards.
- Lead regulatory interactions and ensure all legal obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise construction quality to ensure alignment with approved designs and specifications.
- Conduct ongoing audits, inspections, and quality reviews to maintain project standards.
- Oversee completion, final inspections, handover, and documentation for smooth project closure.
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of project management experience, including 5 years in a leadership capacity managing major construction or development projects.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, high-value projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Strong grasp of construction processes, materials, regulations, and site operations.
- Familiarity with project management platforms such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Financially astute with experience in cost control, vendor negotiation, and contract administration.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage risks and solve problems in dynamic environments.
- High integrity, strong work ethic, and a collaborative approach to managing teams and external partners.
