HR Generalist
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including new hires, terminations, overtime calculations, allowances, deductions, salary recovery, leave benefits, and employee claims.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions, including CPF and IR8A filings.
- Prepare and submit income tax clearance (IR21) for work pass holders.
- Generate payroll reports, manage brand billing, and support audits with necessary payroll documentation.
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare government survey submissions related to payroll and compensation.
Employee Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns within the retail front-end workforce.
- Address and resolve employee issues and conflicts in a timely and fair manner.
- Conduct regular store visits to engage employees, address concerns, and ensure compliance with HR policies.
- Support performance management processes, including coaching and disciplinary actions.
- Organize and facilitate employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace morale and culture.
- Communicate and ensure adherence to HR policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
Recruitment:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job postings and candidate sourcing to screening, interviews, and job offers.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards.
- Evaluate candidates for suitability and conduct reference checks.
Compensation & Benefits Administration:
- Prepare salary proposals for newly hired employees.
- Ensure compliance with union guidelines and collective agreements (CA) related to employee relations.
- Administer employee medical benefits, including registrations, claims processing, and coordination with medical providers.
- Oversee HR administrative tasks, including drafting employee letters and maintaining up-to-date records in the HR system.
Additional HR Administrative Duties:
- Manage work pass applications, renewals, and terminations, including repatriation administration.
- Support HR initiatives and participate in projects as assigned.
- Perform other HR-related duties as required.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
- Diploma in HR Management or Business Administration.
- Strong multitasking abilities with excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and HR best practices.
