The incumbent will be part of the Strategy, Planning and Customer Experience (SPCE) team with the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP).

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and implement data processing, cleansing, compilation and reporting of statistics from multiple sources. Some of the activities include:

  1. Extracting data from various sources, like internal systems, databases, etc., using data querying tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
  2. Supporting data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Preparing regular reports to update management on corporate performance.
  4. Designing and developing dashboards for more streamlined corporate performance reporting for management meetings.
  5. Supporting the preparation of data to be reported in the annual corporate report.

• Analyse key corporate statistics to enable effective monitoring and identification of key issues, including early detection of emerging issues, and derive new insights and trends.

• Work on software enhancement and functional testing related to reporting statistics in multiple environments, e.g. setting up and enhancing data tables, reports, dashboards, etc.

• Support efforts in promoting data governance and ensuring compliance with internal data policy.

• Assist in the creation and update of data documentation.

Job Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Tertiary Education in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience:

  • Proven experience in data processing, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data visualization and dashboarding.
  • Optional - familiarity with data management platform (e.g., Denodo).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel – including Pivot tables, SQL, Python, R).
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with system enhancement and data integration.
  • Familiarity with database management and data warehousing concepts.
  • Optional – familiarity with using GenAI tools to manage and derive insights from data.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience in identifying trends and emerging issues through data analysis.

Other skills:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data processing and reporting.
  • Ability to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Deliver tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills.
