We’re hiring a Head of Global Payments for a fast-growing internet entertainment/gaming company. With a global player base spanning over 100 countries, the group is building a proprietary payment ecosystem to improve user experience and reduce reliance on existing payment platforms.

As the inaugural hire, you will design, build, and scale a global payments platform from scratch, working closely with senior leadership, including the group’s product and strategy heads. This is a greenfield opportunity for a payments leader who thrives in high-growth, tech-driven environments.

If this prospect sounds exciting and could be a logical (yet perhaps uncomfortable) next step for your career, please write in with your latest CV to [email protected] and we'll be in touch shortly!

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the global payments function — spanning product, R&D, operations, and go-to-market teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and an adviser to the CEO to design a payment architecture that supports cross-border gaming transactions at scale.
  • Launch an official global payment site and optimize transaction experiences across 100+ countries.
  • Establish direct relationships with payment service providers and digital platforms, negotiating partnerships and lowering transaction costs.
  • Hire and grow a team of 10–15 across product, compliance, BD, and engineering.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in global payments, ideally within high-volume, cross-border environments such as fintechs, digital platforms, or financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated success scaling payments infrastructure or launching new payment systems in multi-currency ecosystems.
  • Internet product experience with a user-first mindset; background in gaming, fintech, or e-commerce is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with global payment regulations, tax, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven experience building and leading multinational teams.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is required to collaborate across regional and HQ teams.
