We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the technical direction and leading the development of our cutting-edge fintech platform. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of talented engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software, and driving innovation across all engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering strategy and execution for core products from concept to delivery, ensuring that all future development initiatives align with the company's overarching objectives and available resources.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle for projects following the Agile methodology, establishing requirements, objectives, and timelines for both front-end and back-end development, Quality Assurance testing, and implementation.
  • Foster continuous exploration, innovation, and delivery of product features.
  • Maintain a balance between a minimum viable product (MVP) approach and scalability, while outlining the roadmap to market.
  • Uphold product and customer service level agreements (SLAs) while collaborating with engineers to adhere to schedules and deliver quality milestones, minimizing outages and incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, business, go-to-market, and operational teams to facilitate scaling efforts.
  • Assess the reliability and performance of all internal systems to recommend potential enhancements.
  • Ensure the integration of engineering-based information security requirements throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining compliance with security protocols, including regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and application security measures.
  • Recruit engineers and manage their training programs.
  • Introduce and implement cutting-edge technologies.
  • Work in conjunction with external stakeholders to establish new integrations and tools.
  • Review and revise policies pertaining to internal systems and equipment.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in software engineering from conceptualizing to delivery. Ideally, you should have at least 7-8 years of experience in a leadership role, mentoring junior engineers as a subject matter expert/technical lead.
  • Proficient in developing and managing cloud-native platforms and distributed systems.
  • Fluency in the following tech stacks:Frontend: React, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
    Backend: Go, managed by Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) on AWS
    Database: Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) Postgres
    Infrastructure Management: Backups of the database, object storage, and Kubernetes
  • Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional leaders and teams to build and oversee complex, large-scale projects.
