
Public Relations Officer (Construction)
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Public Relations Officer (Senior PRO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations and media design, with a strong emphasis on communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management. In this role, you will be responsible for upholding the company’s public image, addressing feedback and complaints, and ensuring clear communication throughout construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve conflicts, feedback, and complaints related to ongoing projects in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with contractors to handle construction-related complaints effectively and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings, accurately record minutes, and address any public relations concerns.
- Keep detailed records of all public relations-related communications, complaints, and project correspondences.
- Develop and execute public relations strategies to enhance the company’s reputation and foster positive stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee media relations, ensuring consistent and effective messaging across all communication channels.
- Design and create media materials, such as press releases, brochures, and digital content, to support communication initiatives.
- Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for proactive public relations efforts.
- Provide crisis communication support, addressing any negative publicity or issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to align public relations activities with broader company goals.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by senior management or project teams.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in public relations, media design, or a related communication role.
- Proven expertise in stakeholder communication, complaint resolution, and conflict management, especially in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate company positions clearly.
- Experience in attending project meetings and accurately recording minutes.
