From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.Role Overview:Prepare the sample for mechanical testingPrepare the sample for metallurgical evaluationOperate and maintain metallurgical Lab equipmentAdhere to laboratory procedures when operating Lab equipmentPerform incoming inspection of controlled material if requiredLiaise with vendor on externally provided metallurgical serviceEnsure all external metallurgical service quotation, purchase order and certificate be delivered timelyWork with Engineering for NPI metallurgical evaluation and analysisThe Ideal Candidate:Prior Experience in Measurement InspectionRequired Qualifications:Minimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or with 3 years of relevant experiencePreferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/Materials/Quality Assurance Engineering; or Diploma in Mechanical/Materials/Quality Assurance EngineeringAble to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in EnglishPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge in material science and interpretation of microstructureExperience in laboratory sample/specimen preparation and evaluationAdditional Information:At GE Aerospace, we are always searching for great talent.
