
Executive – Vehicle Integration
Position Overview:
As an Engineer – Vehicle Integration at TVS Motor, you will be an integral part of the vehicle development team, working to ensure seamless integration of vehicle systems, including powertrain, bodywork, electronics, and chassis components for the ASEAN region. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, innovative vehicle designs that meet performance, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vehicle Integration and Systems Coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to integrate and optimize vehicle systems and subsystems, ensuring overall performance, reliability, and safety.
- Contribute to the integration of chassis, powertrain, bodywork, and electronics into a unified vehicle platform.
- Perform vehicle-level assessments to ensure alignment of design specifications and component compatibility.
2. Design and Validation Support
- Support the design and development process for vehicle systems, ensuring the integration of components meets performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
- Assist in conducting tests and validations (including prototype and pre-production builds) to verify integrated vehicle functionality, durability, and safety compliance.
- Prepare and maintain vehicle integration documentation, including design reviews, test reports, and technical specifications.
3. Technical Analysis and Problem Solving
- Conduct technical analysis to identify and address any issues related to vehicle integration, working closely with team members to find effective solutions.
- Support the root cause analysis for any vehicle system failures or performance issues during the testing phase and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in improving vehicle integration processes, identifying areas for cost reduction, efficiency gains, or enhanced performance.
4. Design Review and Cross-functional Collaboration
- Participate in design reviews, ensuring that all vehicle integration requirements are met and communicating feedback to design and engineering teams.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability and that integrated systems can be efficiently assembled in production.
- Collaborate with supplier teams to ensure that the vehicle systems are aligned with external component specifications and delivery timelines.
5. Data Management and Reporting
- Support the data collection and analysis for vehicle integration tests, compiling results to inform vehicle design improvements.
- Assist with preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a second major in Innovation and Design or equivalent.
Work Experience:
- At least 1–2 years of experience in vehicle integration or related fields, preferably in motorcycle or automotive design and manufacturing.
- Experience in vehicle design, mechanical engineering, or systems integration.
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of vehicle systems and mechanical engineering principles.
- Familiarity with CAD software for design work.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle testing and validation procedures.
- Understanding manufacturing processes and their impact on vehicle design and integration.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Good communication skills for reporting, presenting findings, and interacting with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
