
Manager, Corporate Communications (Maternity Cover - 4 months) #SJN
This role encompasses a broad spectrum of communications work, including media relations, corporate marketing, digital / social content development and analytics, as well as crisis and issues communications. The successful candidate will primarily focus on media relations and engagement, strategic and integrated communications.
Responsibilities:
Media relations and engagement:
- Craft news releases/responses to media queries/speeches, media follow-ups and corporate profile opportunities, organise and manage media conferences and events
- Build brand equity and top of mind recall through proactive media pitching
- Spearhead media outreach efforts through ongoing engagement of existing contacts and cultivation of new media contacts; maintain media database
Strategic communications:
- Craft and develop corporate and business announcements and collaterals, extending the content and messaging across owned and paid digital channels
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance reach of issued media statements and interview/feature opportunities
- Enhance corporate profiling through awards submissions and other feature opportunities
- Activate brand storytelling techniques to transform corporate milestones, event, developments into strong compelling content to reach diverse groups of stakeholders (investors, built industry associates, employees, homebuyers, tenants and community)
Crisis/issues management:
- Craft and manage the dissemination of media holding statements and/or other relevant materials across digital platforms
- Review holding statements or communications materials from internal business units on issues management, as and when required
Requirements:
- Degree in communications or other relevant fields
- At least 10 years of communications work experience with exposure to and aptitude for a vast range of communications functions
- Experienced and skilled in digital content development, brand story-telling and analytics
- Success in optimising performance of digital/social media assets and content, developing audience, and cultivating social media influencers
- Strong media contacts would be advantageous
- Adept at writing and developing content for media, digital communications, print, and social media, adopting a suitable style and tone e.g. corporate, creative
- Excellent time and project management, able to coordinate with colleagues from various departments, manage vendors and liaise with external stakeholders
