Data Engineer (Japanese Speaking)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive model documentation for AML-related processes.
• Analyze gaps between the US, APAC, and Japan to ensure alignment across regions.
• Oversee project planning, coordination, and management, ensuring successful execution and timely delivery.
• Conduct data analysis and support data management efforts related to AML processes.
• Develop End User Computing (EUC) solutions, including tools such as Excel VBA, MS Access, or Python.
• Prepare and present reports to senior executives on project progress, risks, and issues.
• Organize and facilitate meetings across various stakeholders, including cross-country teams.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues during model validation and ongoing monitoring.
• Conduct quality assurance activities in model validation and support ongoing monitoring of the AML framework.

Requirements:

• Minimum a degree in any field.
• Experience in AML enhancement projects, specifically related to Transaction Filtering systems.
• At least 4 years of working experience in established consulting firm.
• Hands-on experience in implementing Model Risk Governance frameworks for AML is a plus.
• Previous consulting experience for banking clients, particularly as a Business Analyst, with at least 1-2 years of PMO support experience.
• Familiarity with data lineage, flow, and items related to Transaction Filtering systems is a plus.
  Experience in implementing Data Governance frameworks and conducting data analysis/ management.
• Good communication skills in both English and Japanese (in order to liaise with Japanese stakeholders and clients).
• Strong project management skills, including stakeholder management and cross-country coordination.
• Logical thinking, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to develop clear, structured reports.
• EUC development skills (Excel VBA, MS Access, Python).
