Job Responsibilities
- Production Operations Management
- Oversee and coordinate production resources, including personnel, machinery, and materials, to optimize the rebar processing workflow and ensure efficient output.
- Lead daily production meetings, break down production targets, and track task execution progress.
- Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly production plans, liaise with procurement and warehousing departments to ensure a stable supply of raw materials, and ensure on-time order delivery.
- Equipment and Safety Management
- Lead the full lifecycle management of workshop equipment, establish maintenance and servicing systems, and reduce downtime due to equipment failures.
- Implement EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) management systems, establish safety operating procedures, and conduct regular safety training and emergency drills.
- Ensure the workshop complies with Singapore's WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) regulations.
- Quality Management
- Establish a comprehensive quality control system for the entire rebar processing workflow, ensuring compliance with material inspection standards (such as rebar diameter and strength testing), in-process inspections, and finished product sampling.
- Monitor key process parameters, such as rebar cutting length tolerance (±5mm) and bending angle accuracy (±1), ensuring compliance with BS 8666/SS 560 standards.
- Lead the handling of non-conforming products (NCR), conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and drive continuous improvement.
- Liaise with customer QC teams for final product acceptance, address quality complaints, and develop corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans.
- Maintain ISO9001 quality system certification and prepare for third-party audits.
- Team Building and Performance Management
- Develop a performance evaluation system for a production team of 20-30 employees and implement Key Performance Indicator (KPI) assessments.
- Establish an employee skills matrix and provide specialized technical training in rebar cutting and bending.
- Introduce incentive mechanisms such as production team competitions to enhance overall workshop efficiency.
Job Requirements
1. Hard Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing production management, with at least 2 years in rebar processing or metal prefabrication (mandatory).
- Familiar with rebar material standards and processing techniques, such as BS4449/EN10080.
- Possession of a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) is preferred.
- Holding a QC inspector certification in the rebar/metal products industry (e.g., ACWI certification) is an advantage.
2. Core Competencies
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and 5S workplace management.
- Experience managing automated rebar processing equipment (e.g., CNC stirrup benders, bar cutting lines).
- Proficiency in ERP/MES production management systems and the ability to read AutoCAD drawings.
3. Soft Skills
- Candidates with experience in new factory setup or building production systems from scratch are preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and manage cross-cultural teams
