Job Responsibilities
- Negotiate and secure competitive freight charges for all shipments.
- Plan and manage the shipping schedule to ensure seamless operations.
- Work closely with the supply chain team and freight forwarders to ensure shipments are executed on time.
- Prepare shipping documents as per L/C requirements and submit them to the bank for negotiation.
- Provide customers with regular updates on shipment status and handle inquiries related to shipment movements and arrangements.
- Review and verify invoices from freight forwarders for accuracy and arrange for timely payments.
- Advise the sales department on freight costs and related matters.
- Maintain organized records of shipping correspondence and documentation.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum qualification of "O Level," Diploma, or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related experience.
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience, with an advantage for candidates experienced in handling Dangerous Goods (DG).
- Solid understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
