Role Summary:

As an Associate Engineer - Project Management, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting New product development projects within the product development lifecycle. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless execution, tracking progress, and facilitating communication between cross-functional teams to meet project milestones. This is an individual contributor role with a strong focus on program coordination and product development support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Coordination & Execution

  • Support project planning, scheduling, and execution for mechanical engineering programs.
  • Track key milestones, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure on-time project completion.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality teams, to ensure alignment with project goals.

2. Technical Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain technical reports, project schedules, and status updates.
  • Assist in compiling engineering documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design change records.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines.

3. Risk Management & Issue Resolution

  • Identify potential risks and escalate issues that may impact project timelines or quality.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical and operational roadblocks.

4. Process Improvement & Efficiency

  • Support initiatives to enhance project workflows and improve overall efficiency in project execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in mechanical engineering and project management practices.

5. Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between engineering teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, follow up on action items, and ensure seamless communication among teams.

Key Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (from Nanyang Technological University Singapore or equivalent).
  • Work Experience:
    • Prior experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with exposure to program/project management.
    • Experience in motorcycle, automotive, or related mechanical engineering industries is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, product development cycles, and manufacturing processes.
    • Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
    • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Creo, CATIA, AutoCAD) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
