What the role is:The Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) is seeking a Deputy Director to lead and manage a team of investigators to carry out investigations into breaches/offences of the Estate Agents Act and its subsidiary legislation.What you will be working on:- You will work closely with the Director for Investigation and Inspection to provide strategic leadership and vision to drive CEA's mission and objectives in ensuring effective regulation of the real estate agency industry. - You will manage a team of investigators with diverse investigation background to investigate complaints against property agents and agencies to establish the facts and evidence related to the complaints so that CEA can decide on the appropriate enforcement actions to be taken against errant property agents and agencies. - You will ensure the investigation and enforcement actions on property agents and agencies are carried out in accordance with CEA's established system and procedures. - You are expected to seek continual improvements to the investigation/enforcement system and processes for more effective regulatory outcomes. - You will build and maintain strong working relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and relevant stakeholders to promote collaboration and support to achieve effective regulation of the real estate agency industry. - Any tasks as required by the Director for Investigation and Inspection.What we are looking for:- At least 15 years of supervisory experience in an investigation or enforcement related role in the private or public sector. - Experience in public policy and/or real estate sector would be an advantage. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Effective stakeholder management. - Able to participate in fieldwork and operations to ensure compliance with the Estate Agents Act and its subsidiary legislation.About Council for Estate Agencies:Join the team at the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) to regulate and promote the development of a professional and trusted real estate agency industry.
