What the role is:You will assist the Deputy Director of the Inspection & Compliance division to regulate the real estate agency industry.What you will be working on:Your duties will involve analysis and distillation of information reports, and contributing to the development and implementation of operational policies and frameworks relating to anti-money laundering and countering terrorism financing measures. You will be required from time to time to deal with complaints/investigations against estate agents and salespersons, conduct inspections and field surveillances and prepare reports and recommendation of appropriate enforcement actions to be taken against non-compliance of the Estate Agents Act and its Regulations. You will also be required to make presentations at Management meetings and take on organisation-wide projects. Other ad-hoc tasks may also be assigned to you from time to time.What we are looking for:- Strong investigative and analytical skills - Minimum 2 years of working experience in enforcement or compliance work. Familiarity with the real estate agency industry or experience in the field of anti-money laundering/ countering financing of terrorism will be an advantage. - Able to work well with numbers and data sets with good attention to detail - Good writing and communication skills - Able to plan and organise, and work effectively both independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.About Council for Estate Agencies:Join the team at the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) to regulate and promote the development of a professional and trusted real estate agency industry.
