What the role is:The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Deputy Director to lead the Innovation Branch (IB) and Digitalisation Strategy Branch (DSB) within the Transformation Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering an innovation culture and ecosystem, as well as transforming MSF's digital landscape to integrate and promulgate new technologies effectively.What you will be working on:
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to align innovation and digitalisation efforts with MSF's strategic outcomes. • Innovation Ecosyste Cultivate an environment with the relevant capabilities, structures and systems in place to encourage innovation, digital, empathetic, agile and lean attributes amongst MSF officers. • Digital Transformation: Oversee the Ministry Family's digitalisation plan, conceptualising and implementing strategies, and promulgating new tech areas to enhance service delivery. • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage primarily with internal stakeholders to foster partnerships, collaboration, and co-creation of solutions. • Talent Development: Build and nurture a high-performing team by providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
What we are looking for:
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in innovation and/or digital transformation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. • Proven track record of leading and implementing large-scale digital projects and fostering innovation within an organisation. • Strong understanding of the latest digital trends, technologies, and methodologies in the context of public service delivery. • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse groups. • Experience in strategic planning, organisation development and/or project management is a plus. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and articulate complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
