Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the company's fleet technical operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with international maritime regulations.
- Develop and execute long-term technical strategies to optimize fleet performance, reduce costs, and enhance energy efficiency.
- Oversee vessel maintenance planning and execution, including repairs, inspections, and dry-docking.
- Ensure adherence to statutory, flag state, and classification society regulations, including ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other industry standards.
- Monitor and assess vessel performance data to identify trends, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvements.
- Manage technical operations budgets, balancing cost-effectiveness with high-quality and safety standards.
- Supervise procurement activities for technical supplies, spare parts, and services, ensuring timely availability and cost efficiency.
- Foster strong relationships with classification societies, shipyards, suppliers, and key industry stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives for fleet modernization, sustainability, and energy efficiency in line with industry advancements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological developments, and regulatory changes, advising management on potential impacts.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- CoC Class 1
- Minimum of 8 – 12 years of experience in technical management roles within the shipping industry
- Experience managing a diverse range of fleet
- Understanding of maritime regulations, shipping operations and vessel management
