Job Description:
- Conduct structural analysis and calculations, evaluate the performance and durability of structural designs. Ensure structures meet client requirements and comply with current standards.
- Manage design subcontractors/teams, oversee the preparation and control of design and construction plans.
- Organize and prepare project technical proposals and plans. supervise implementation; conduct site inspections, monitor construction quality, and ensure structural safety.
- Conduct innovative research to explore the application of new materials and technologies in structural design.
- Review/inspect/approve designs, evaluations, and calculations per quality procedures, prepare risk assessments, and fully comply with Design for Safety requirements.
- Coordinate with external subcontractors and clients to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore.
- Minimum 8 years of project management/construction experience in the civil engineering sector, with at least 5 years as a resident engineer in on-site supervision.
- Experience in large-scale building or infrastructure(airport) projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Singapore building codes and standards, such as SSC, BCA, and Singapore Standards Council (SCC).
- Proficient in site supervision and management.
- Skilled in Word, Excel, Project, AutoCAD, and modern structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, ABAQUS).
- Good speaking and writing in both English and Chinese.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
- International mindset and an ability to drive collaboration across construction disciplines, both within BUCG and externally;
